Artificial intelligence is not intelligent at all, but rather dangerous

Beyond the wow effect it can cause when you use it for the first time, it's in the details that the deception lies.

Created with LLM technology, trained on stolen data, the so-called artificial intelligence only produces content that makes the most sense from a probabilistic point of view. Whether it's words, numbers, pixels, or binary data assembled, it has no “human” traits. At no point does AI search for/find/hallucinate/advise/create... none of that. It is we, humans, who lend it capabilities it does not have, by interpreting a result produced very quickly, but which AI does not understand.

Search via chatbots

Chatbots provide poor customer service. With no search capabilities, chatbots cannot find the right answers to customers' questions. Instead, they generate the response that makes the most probabilistic sense. But what about providing THE right answer, THE real information that customers are looking for? Chatbots cannot be compared to a good indexed, searchable database with regularly updated content processed by people who are knowledgeable on the subject. On the contrary, chatbots & other search tools based on AI will cause frustration and provide incorrect information. Here is a good example.

Learning

We all have our preferences when it comes to learning: reading, watching, listening, repeating, reproducing, trying, starting over, finding inspiration... and there are endless combinations of tools to help us accomplish all these tasks. So why not AI? Simply because AI has been shown to be less effective than traditional tools when it comes to learning new knowledge and skills. Here are the results of a detailed study.

The giants need more and more electricity & water to run AI for all the wrong reasons. So, instead of investing in renewable energy that could become free for everyone, they are investing in the exact opposite... call me when you need help dismantling, deconstructing, and disassembling all this mess!

Fairy Tale for investors

There are already countless articles and studies on the AI bubble. Ready to burst in our faces? You know what, I can't wait. And at the same time, I have no doubt about the inventiveness and infinite stupidity of the human race when it comes to finding ways to prevent the downfall of AI. Yet I see no other cure for our ills. I can't wait for the bubble to burst; it won't make any money anyway.

Artificial intelligence used to generate any form of art is an insult to all artists. It's not me saying this, it's the greatest artists themselves. The purpose of any project is not “only” the work created, but above all the creative process itself. An artist is an artist because they love to create above all else. Fantasies

One of my favorite movies, Her, is perhaps one of the fairy tales that investors in AI take as promises! Will we be in love with our AI tomorrow? Are we already in love with them today? Will we make love via prompt? What if people paid for such digital sexual services? Personally, it disgusts me as much as it fascinates me, because while it's important for me to fantasize through stories, it's even more important for me to experience real physical sensations, right? I imagine there's a market for everything, but as humanity, isn't it in our best interest to ban this kind of use, which requires disproportionate resources to function?

Limits of LLMs, and then what?

If even the greatest researchers explain to us that LLMs, however powerful they may be, will not be able to fulfill the fantasies of AGI, the holy grail for investors, it is surely because they know better than we do. I don't know if humanity will succeed in creating models sophisticated enough to replace our own gray matter, but I wonder above all, what's the point?
